WHAT ARE THE EDUCATIONAL CHALLENGES FACED DURING COVID-19 - B.Ed students

Covid-19 pandemic-impacted higher education will be different mainly in the mode of teaching and evaluation. Nationally there was a call for a de facto switch to virtual teaching, learning and evaluation, pushing a huge number of teachers into an unfamiliar mode.As B.Ed student i can say that this pandemic affected our course in a worst manner we know that B.ed course is a trainning to emerging teachers when this pandemic started we were in our second semester and we never thought a situation like this .We all are really afraid how our teaching practice section is going to happen and how to compelete our course with out having a proper teaching practice section.During our second semester we all were well prepared for our teaching practice after completing our demostration and criticism lessons ,but now even if we are getting a chance for teaching practice its really a big gap of 6 months that we are afar from this teaching experences. The outbreak of COVID-19 has led to drastic changes in various facets of day-to- day living. Even the education system has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has further led to rise in the use of online learning. This online learning system has turned education into a luxury which cannot be afforded by the weaker section of society, hence snatching the basic rights from the people of weaker sections of society.  

 Covid 19 badly effected many fields especially the educational system. During the pandemic situation both governmental and non governmental organized many problems. Covid 19 pandemic has spread to almost all countries of the world.Many educational challenges faced during covid 19.It also reduce the college activities. I think many students were faced health and psychological issues. Many students are socilally isolated Online classes will not fulfill the psychological needs. Normal classes also good platform. Online class helps to know many technical information. In the covid 19 situation leading to many health problems like eye pain, headache..etc.

main challenges faced during online classes

  • Learners with low motivation and bad study habbits can fall behind

  • Lack of routine structure

  • Students may feel isolated from classmates or instructors.

  • Lack of quality assessment and feedback which may hinder learning.

  • Underutilized talents of students.

  • Exclusion of fun campus activities.

  • No facilities to use or access

    Cheating prevention during online assessments is complicated.

  • Family issues may affect students learning.

  • Lead to behavioral problems.

  • Teacher's role become limited.

  • Less supervision.

  •  Extra charges for data recharge and all
  • Children are addicted to screens.
  • Online learning is not a healthy way of learning. ( Body,eye,...)
  • Online learning from home can also be very isolating and lonely for the child.Less connection with peers.
  • Hamper student teachers overall development as a future teacher.
  • Student teachers not getting a teaching experience an the ways to improve their teaching skills.
  • Teaching practice section is not going properly
  • Group discussion and peer activities are not going well.
  • Many of them can't partcipate in class properly due to network issues.
